We focus on non-profit, philanthropic, and government organizations at the local, state and national level. We have particular expertise in the San Francisco Bay Area and the state of California.
We are an anti-racist, feminist organization that supports equal rights and freedoms for all and celebrates the many values that diversity brings to our society as a whole, and the social impact sector in particular. As people of privilege in many regards, we recognize the importance of consciously reflecting on and actively engaging with the ways in which systemic oppression plays out in our work and in the systems in which we work. We are committed to furthering diversity, equity, and inclusion in our work and in our partnerships, but do not strive to take an expert’s position on these topics, preferring to make space for and honor the unique expertise of colleagues from under-represented demographics whose work centers in this area. We make referrals to such colleagues in our network as needed for our clients, and seek consultation ourselves when engaging in difficult work, striving to model to our clients that this work is both important and urgent, and, necessarily, an ongoing process.
