Director of Community Recovery Resources, MHASF, San Francisco, CA                                7/14-12/14

  • Launched the San Francisco Peer Run Warm Line, a 24/7 non-emergency emotional support line, staffed by trained peers creating meaningful work opportunities for those with mental health challenges.  Over 30,000 calls and texts are made annually to the line and over 100 peers have gained employment through this program.

Training Coordinator, Mental Health Association of San Francisco, San Francisco, CA       9/13-7/14

  • Established a training program to expand knowledge of progressive, person-centered mental health supports and decrease the stigma associated with mental health conditions
  • Coordinate the Honest, Open and Proud program research study evaluating a curriculum on mental health disclosure created by Dr. Pat Corrigan, which culminated in joint authorship of a published paper

Compass Family Resource Center Program Director, Compass Family Services, San Francisco, CA

  • Developed the Compass Family Resource Center, a family support program for homeless and low income parents and children
  • Created a variety of programming to support the resiliency, optimal development, and school readiness of young children experiencing homelessness
  • Supported parents through case management, domestic violence response service coordination, child welfare system advocacy, parental support groups, CPS certified parenting classes, parental strategy coaching, therapy, topic based workshops, employment support, and fun, family activities.

  • Led the development of a new initiative within Compass starting under an umbrella program with a small budget and staff of 1.5 and growing it into the Compass Family Resource Center
